Cottage Description

This house is approximately 1300 square feet, is very comfortable, and has a very convenient location.  Although not on the water, It is an easy 10 minute walk to beaches, the CTC wharf, the Chebeague Inn, the Island Market, golf course and tennis courts.

 

This house was originally built more than 100 years ago in its original location on the golf course by the stone wharf.  After being moved to its current location on South Road nearly 100 years ago, the shell of the house was completed, but left unfinished until the Oderdas purchased it in 1979.  The interior of the house was completed approximately 35 years ago, with updated plumbing and electrical systems.  Bathroom and kitchen appliances have been more recently updated. Features of the house include:

  • 3 Bedrooms

    • Master bedroom with a double bed

    • Second bedroom with a double bed

    • Third bedroom with twin beds

    • A loft provides an additional sleeping area.  It is carpeted, has two twin beds and accessed by climbing a ladder.  A favorite sleeping place for kids.

  • 1 Bathroom with a shower/tub combination

  • Modern kitchen with an island cooking/eating area.  The kitchen contains an electric stove and oven, a microwave and is fully equipped with kitchen utensils, plates, and everything you need to cook and eat a lobster dinner!

  • Dining Area

  • Living Area with

    • LL Bean futon couch that sleeps two

    • TV. A digital converter and antenna is available.  Although reception includes all local stations, and the picture quality is generally good, some stations have less than perfect reception. Connection is available for streaming sites that you subscribe to.  Performance varies depending on internet speed.

    • VCR (with lots of videos)

    • DVD Player​Music System with CD player

    • Assorted Card and Board Games and Books

  • Wireless internet is available. Speeds tend to be slow but are adequate for email, surfing the web and, on a good day, streaming.

  • A VOIP telephone is available for local and US long distance calls.  Cellular service is spotty and depends on the carrier.

  • Washer and Dryer

  • Linens and towels included
